Conservative radio host Mark Levin, the author of “Unfreedom of the Press,” defended President Donald Trump against a whistleblower complaint on Sunday’s broadcast of Fox News Channel’s “Fox & Friends.”

The interview got heated when co-Host Ed Henry asked if Trump did anything “illegal” during his call with Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Levin responded, “What crime was violated? It’s not illegal. The question is whether Biden did something illegal. The president didn’t do anything illegal. You know how I know? Because Nancy Pelosi’s been on every tv show and she can’t cite one section of the United States code where it’s illegal. My question is, why is Joe Biden above the law? Why is his son above the law? Where is Hunter Biden today? Where is the media? Don’t they want to know? Don’t they want to know if the leading contender for the Democrat nomination is a crook and if his son is a crook?”

Henry said, “I’m asking you are you OK with a president asking his counterpart — this is a simply yes or no —to dig up dirt on former vice president Joe Biden and his son? Are you OK with that?”

Levin shot back, “First of all, your question is not honest. So I don’t give yes or no.”

Henry interjected, “That’s a quote from the transcript, sir.”

Levis said, “Let me finish. You have all morning. I have two minutes. It’s not an honest question. Show me in the transcript where the president said that … nowhere.”

He continued, “The media have taken sides here and what I’m saying is this is an utterly corrupt political, partisan process. And it’s about time we had some real reporters who would try to get to the bottom of this.”

He added, “There’s going to be a huge backlash in this country one way or the other. You can’t disenfranchise 63 million people who are on to this, who have alternative forms of information. Real cover-up here. Gee, we have the letter, and we have the transcripts, and all I get are reporters trying to tell me what the transcript says as opposed to what I read with my own eyes and telling me it’s the offense of the century that the president of the United States dares to mention something that’s in the American newspapers to the Ukrainian president.”

“He doesn’t say get Biden,” Levin continued. “He doesn’t say I’m digging up dirt on Biden. He doesn’t say do me a favor and get Biden. He says, ‘Why don’t you talk to my attorney general, look into this. People have questions.’ Wow. And all the sleazy activity that’s going behind the scenes. I want to know. I want to know if Adam Schiff and his staff, working with this phony whistleblower. I want to know who the lawyers are who helped him write that complaint as I was the first to point out before. I want to know the whole activity that’s taking place in the shadows of this government to try and bring down a president of the United States.”

“Things are being done to this president that have never been done to prior presidents,” he added. “Where did they keep the transcript of the phone call? Who gives a damn! The president has a power to issue an executive privilege order. Doesn’t matter if he kept it in his pillow. He can still protect that, but he didn’t. He gave it up.”

The rash of physical attacks against Jews in Brooklyn and Manhattan began almost a year ago.  We have cellphone and street camera footage of many of the attacks, and they are coming from assailants bellowing “Allahu Akbar” and from younger black and Hispanic men often yelling “dirty Jew.” They sneak up on Jewish-garbed citizens using bricks and stones, breaking bones and smashing eyes. There was no mainstream media discussion about this until a few weeks ago, and the major Jewish establishment organizations were basically silent as well. Even now, none of these Jewish organizations are flexing their muscles or evincing anywhere near the type of outrage we should expect.

You can be sure that if the attackers were white or Jewish and the victims Black, Muslim, or Hispanic, the establishment alphabet Jewish organizations (ADL, AJC, NYF, JCRC, Conference of Presidents, and Federations) would be the very first organizing protests against racism and pontificating about something rotten within American society.

My grievance is not why general society is doing little, since most Americans have no clue about what is happening in Boro Park, Williamsburg, or Crown Heights. But the major secular Jewish organizations do know! Nor am I perplexed about why this is not at the top of the list of many officeholders and politicians. After all, the “machers” from the Jewish organizations are not knocking down their doors nor raising Cain — something Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, CAIR, and Ocasio-Cortez would certainly do if their people were being assaulted by outsiders. Beyond doubt, the establishment Jewish organizations would themselves be knocking down doors right alongside them. They, as they always do, would be proclaiming “how the most important Jewish value is the protection of minorities and fighting racism.” Actually, it is President Trump who has made more of an issue over anti-Jewish remarks coming from the mouths of high-profile members of minority communities than our own Jewish establishment “leadership.”

Many of those running Jewish organizations and non-Orthodox synagogue and temples have for decades made helping other minorities the centerpiece of their ideological life and, thus, will never spotlight the anti-Semitism coming from members of the minority community, since it would shatter all they believe in. It might get in the way of “dialogue,” which is their most precious template, though it usually is a dialogue of what we Jews can do for you and not what you can also do for us. Years after the 1992 Crown Heights pogroms, the ADL finally acknowledged that its unwillingness to defend the Lubavitch community was a fear of jeopardizing their loyalty to the Black civil rights movement.

Preoccupation with black civil rights is for most Jewish groups “their spiritual life and the continuum of their days.” We can also add sexual lifestyle rights, abortion-on-demand, open borders, and promotion of Muslim immigration. Jewish groups are in the forefront of demanding even higher levels of Islamic immigration, knowing full well that it’s precisely the recent influx of Muslims into Europe that accounts for the last fifteen years of beatings and murder of Jews in France, Belgium, and Germany. These Jewish organizations call their support of Islamic immigration a “Jewish value,” ignoring that a cardinal Jewish value is protecting Jewish life and safeguarding Jews.



Many American Jewish leaders, including rabbis, consider these issues more important than mere tribal Jewish concerns, while others have convinced themselves that it constitutes Judaism itself, universalism taking precedence over those matters of Jewishness that are labeled “parochial” and “tribal.” For them, more important than Jewish survival is the survival of progressivism and left-liberalism, their guiding light. They have redefined Judaism as leftwing progressivism. This is their “religion” and they are zealots for it. Even the few Jewish holidays observed have been stripped of the uniquely Jewish component and replaced by universalist themes that abhor the Jewish particular.

A people in constant need to display to others or affirm their own moral superiority will eventually not defend itself and puts its survival at risk. Virtue signaling is but another form of social climbing.

This devaluing of things specifically Jewish explains how Jewish organizations have allowed Jewish children on college campuses to be bullied, spat upon, harassed, and forced to renounce support of Israel. The ADL and big-city federations have the funds to counteract the BDS movement on campuses, the know-how in doing so, and the clout and savvy to demonize the movement and the Muslim students behind it as full-fledged racists not acceptable on campus. But they haven’t. In fact, the ADL has assertively come out against those states proposing legislation against BDS.

Some Jewish organizations have jelly-like offered programs speaking of the downside of general “hate and intolerance,” unwilling to call it by its real name: anti-Semitism. These Jewish leaders would invoke the specific term Islamaphobia if the victims were Muslim, likewise with anti-Black or anti-Hispanic activity.

Nor does it help that many of the college deans and professors are themselves Jewish and have chosen to protect their jobs rather than stand up for Jewish students; something Black or Muslim professors/administrators would never do to their people. (Ron Lauder is refreshingly singular in announcing that he is no longer donating to Columbia University, which this week is sponsoring Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamed, a proud and vocal anti-Semite.)

This obsession to universalize everything Jewish sends a message that the Jewish people and their needs are insignificant and must take a back seat. Even the Holocaust has been universalized by many Jewish organizations and rabbis so that now detention centers at our southern borders are labelled “concentration camps,” and ICE and Homeland security as Nazis, and Trump, the lover of Zion and Brooklyn’s Jews, as Hitler. By universalizing Judaism they belittle its need for existence as something in and of itself.

Worse, many have fashioned an avant-garde Judaism that consists of belittling Jewishness and being over-the-top critical of Israel while adoring its enemies — Peter Beinart/Thomas Friedman Judaism. They sit around in their Upper West Side salons and bash Jewish Jews and Israel. No Irishmen or Frenchmen in America want to dismantle Ireland or France. In contrast, an awfully high percentage of American Jews invest enormous time, energy, and money into trying to bring down and defame the country of their origin, Israel. This form of self-hate is pathological and unique among mankind. Something craven, suicidal, and unnatural is happening within much of American Jewry.

It is true that establishment Jewish organizations and liberal rabbis vociferously condemned the attacks on synagogues during this past year. But those attackers were characterized as “right-wingers.” Jewish organizations are always eager to attack anything considered right-wing. But their silence in the face of dangerous, loud, and undeniable anti-Semitism coming from a wide variety of liberal/progressive sources, including the social justice warriors, leads to one inevitable conclusion. Major Jewish organizations will not imperil the Left or the “social justice” causes; they have chosen liberalism and the Democratic party over particular Jewish needs.  Jewish politicians such as Chuck Schumer, Eliot Engel, Nita Lowey, Steve Cohen, Jan Schakowsky, and Adam Schiff, for example, have been silent about the Omar/Tlaib/Ocasio-Cortez anti-Semitism and hatred of Israel.

Furthermore, many Jewish groups will insidiously parlay anti-Semitism in the hopes of tarnishing Trump and his supporters and to further their decades-old efforts to characterize conservatives as anti-Semites and racists. A previous editor of the Forward once said: “Our greatest enemy is ‘majority-ism,’” in other words, the American white, Christian majority. Most Jews still feel that “minorities” are their allies and that white, Christian Americans are the ones to fear. Ari Gordon of the AJC said so recently when he announced: “Jews and Muslims are natural allies in fighting off the bigotry out there and protecting our shared democratic freedoms.” As a pulpit rabbi, especially during my Manhattan years, I was upset to hear the nonchalant bigotry of many brethren against southerners, whites, and Christians, especially patriotic whites who displayed their love of America. In the end, liberal Jews generally feel more comfortable around minorities and want to belong to the political and social Left, no matter what.

This past Sunday we held a rally in front of the NYC City Hall on lower Broadway regarding attacks against Jews in Brooklyn. I ended my speech by saying it’s obvious we can’t depend on the leaders of major Jewish organizations. They are not really leaders, rather big-shot bureaucrats. It seems we are witnessing once again the Rabbi Stephen Wise phenomenon of the 30s and 40s: leadership replaced by self-glorifying photo ops, fancy dinners, bland statements, meetings, and dialogue. We, the grassroots, will have to defend the Jewish people, defend ourselves in our neighborhoods. Self-defense is a biblical mandate, a mitzvah.

At the rally, we chanted: “Jews Fight Back.” It’s time Jews carried an aura of self-respect, an aura of self-value, so that would-be perpetrators know their attacks come with a downside for them.

Not long ago, I received a lengthy e-mail – "Why We Must Renew Our Commitment to the Civil Rights Movement" – from a woman named Melanie Roth Gorelick, who identified herself as Senior Vice President of the Jewish Council for Public Affairs (JCPA).

Honestly, I thought it was one of the preposterous spoofs of that satirical publication, The Onion.

But no.. it was the real thing.In short, Ms. Gorelick recommended that Jews concentrate their attention not on the pandemic of anti-Semitism and violent acts against Jews throughout the world and in the United States of America, but instead on those poor oppressed blacks who have never had it better in the good ole U.S.A., thanks to President Trump!

While Ms. Gorelick briefly mentioned that there is an "increase in anti-Semitism and hate crimes" in America, her entire discourse was devoted to a plea for the Jewish community (2.8 percent of the US. population) to turn their impassioned efforts and energies to supporting the cause of blacks in the U.S. (14 percent of the U.S. population), who she claimed still experience grave discrimination.

This in spite of the fact that since President Trump was elected, blacks have never experienced a higher degree of employment, independence, wealth, home ownership, and freedom from discrimination in the history of our country!

Not to omit the president's First Step Act that gives black prisoners serving lengthy sentences the first chance at freedom for relatively minor offenses that they've ever been offered in their lives – an opportunity never proposed by all those empathic and caring Democrats who would have kept them in prison for the rest of their lives!

THE PLIGHT OF JEWS

• Jews by the thousands are fleeing from France because of both violent physical and verbal attacks on them by Muslims that go unaddressed by the powers-that-be.
• Jews have been relentlessly assaulted, raped, and terrorized in Sweden by Muslims who go unindicted.
• Jews have been driven to hide in their basements in the United Kingdom as anti-Semitism is at an all-time high.
• Jews have been vilified in Ireland, which passed a law to support the Boycott-Divest-Sanction (BDS) movement to strangle Israel economically.
• In far-away New Zealand, the official government website published a fact sheet with a map of the Middle East that showed a fictional place called "Palestine" – but not the authentic, 71-year-old State of Israel.
• Anti-Semitic attacks in Germany – yes, Hitler's and now Angela Merkel's Germany – have risen by a whopping 20 percent! The country is now what writer Dogan Akman calls an anti-Semitic terrorist state.
• Jews in the United States have been mass-murdered in a synagogue, terrorized on college campuses, and spat on by the entire Democrat Party whose members supported the virulent anti-Semitic racism spewed forth from the Jew-and-Israel-hating Democrat Representatives Ihlan Omar (MN), Rashida Tlaib (MI), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (NY), and Ayanna Pressley (MA). In fact, recently the execrable Ms. Omar mourned the death of the Muslim Brotherhood tyrant who called Jews "apes and pigs."
• Here, in repulsive detail, is just a small sample of the rancid hatred of these Sludge Sisters that Joel B. Pollak of Breitbart.com spells out.
• And not long ago, Bernie Sanders, the Brooklyn-born Jewish senator from Vermont who is running for president again in 2020, told his Socialist/Communist followers: "Our policy cannot be pro-Israel."
• Then there is presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), who recently said she would push to end the Israeli government's "occupation" of the West Bank and Gaza (which it obtained in the course of defending itself during the 1967 six-day war). Not to omit that the senator's "Director of Progressive Partnerships" is Max Berger, co-founder of the extreme Israel-hating group "If Not Now," the goal of which is to "end support for the occupation" – meaning to get rid of the Jews and Israel itself.
• And let's not forget the Trenton, NJ, Democrat councilwoman Robin Vaughn, who defended a colleague's use of the expression "Jew her down," insisting that it's a verb that refers to negotiating.
• Or the non-stop assaults on Jews in Brooklyn. Or the relentless calls for Jewish genocide by U.S. imams.
• Or, as writer Jonathan Tobin points out, that the Jewish community's Reform movement – to its everlasting shame – launched a political war on President Trump right in time for the High Holidays of Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

LOOK IN THE MIRROR!

Apparently, Ms. Gorelick and others at the Jewish Council for Public Affairs think the organization should ignore these dire facts and stick to its 1960's retro agenda of helping the blacks who Regressives believe cannot help themselves.

This is clearly an admission that the people who are traditionally known to be the "best friends" of blacks – i.e., Democrat politicians who depend on Jewish votes and prostitute themselves for the money Jewish voters send them – have all utterly failed to improve the poverty, illiteracy, high crime rate, single-mother rate, and rat-infested cities they have controlled for the past 60 years.

WHY THE WORLD'S GROWING JEW HATRED?

The widespread Jew hatred exists because in the back of the minds of all people who consider themselves oppressed is the question – Why are those damned Jews so tiny in number but so much better off than I am?

To me, the answer is simple: Too many have bought the sweetened – but toxic – Kool Aid that Democrats have sold them that has proved to be their undoing.

Think about it: Why, as documented scrupulously by Robert B. Charles, a former Assistant Secretary of State under Colin Powell and teacher at Harvard University, are the 25 worst cities in the U.S. led by Democrats? And why do the top-ten "most dangerous cities" in America, according to Forbes, all have Democrat mayors?

WHAT HELP CAN MS. GORLICK EXPECT?

For all her social-justice posturing, I wonder which black "leaders" Ms. Gorelick hopes to recruit to her mission. Let's speculate on potential candidates.

• "Reverend" Al Sharpton, famous for creating the gigantic race-based Tawana Brawley hoax, for which he was never indicted; fomenting antisemitic race riots in Brooklyn, NY; instigating the deadly boycott of the Jewish-owned Freddy's Fashion Mart in 1995, and his effusive praise of notorious anti-Semites like the former Nation of Islam leader Elijah Muhammed, as well as Malcolm X, Louis Farrakhan, and Khalid Abdul Muhammad. On and on, to this day! In fact, here is a mountain of evidence about other hateful acts of his to convince you never to enlist him in your ridiculous goal!
• "Reverend" Jesse Jackson, who snidely called NY City "Hymietown," then denied it, then admitted it, but still couldn't bring himself to condemn the Nation of Islam's radical leader Louis Farrakhan, an aggressive anti-Semite and old Jackson ally.
• Barack Obama, a heavyweight anti-Semite – see here and here and here and here, and that's the short list as well.
• "Reverend" Jeremiah Wright, in whose pew Mr. Obama sat for 20 years, who married Mr. Obama and his America-loathing wife Michelle, and who regularly spewed virulent anti-American and anti-Semitic "sermons" – which both Obamas mysteriously never heard!

How about the newly-elected congresswomen I referred to earlier: 

• Ihlan Omar (D-MN): says Israel has "hypnotized the world" and "I pray that Allah awaken the people and help them see [its] evil doings...."
• Rashida Tlaib (D-MI): ardent supporter of the BDS movement who accuses American Jews of "dual loyalty" to both the US. and Israel, and supports a global economic, academic and cultural boycott against Israel.
• Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY): supports BDS and falsely and maliciously condemns Israel for committing a "massacre" against Gaza "protesters" when in fact the Arabs (who call themselves "Palestinians") were violent rioters trying to infiltrate Israel to murder Jews.

Or maybe Ms. Gorelick would like to recruit the famous actor Danny Glover to her virtue-signaling mission – he who recently called for a cultural boycott of Israel.

And let's not forget former president Jimmy Carter, 95 on Oct. 1st, a life-member of the Hate the Jews and Israel Club – who endorsed Hamas and laid a wreath on Yasir Arafat's tomb.

Or how about the people I listed in this 2008 Canada Free Press article who either staffed Barack Obama's administration or acted as his advisors or fundraisers, Jew and Israel haters all: General Merrill "Tony" McPeak, Samantha Power, Robert Malley, John Kerry, Rashid Khalidi, Anthony "Tony" Lake, Zbigniew Brzezinski, Lee Hamilton, James ("F... the Jews") Baker, on and on

WHAT A COINCIDENCE!

What do all of the above candidates to help Ms. Gorelick have in common? They are all Democrats!

Aha...is that what her plan is really all about and why she launched it in this presidential campaign season – to convince the American public that Democrats are really not the racists they have been for their entire 190-year history?

Does she hope that Americans will forget that Democrats opposed the abolition of slavery, created the Ku Klux Klan and the Jim Crow laws, and steadfastly voted against the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the Civil Rights Acts of 1968, and the Equal Opportunity Act of 1972?

Does she believe that Americans will erase from their minds the ugly history of Democrat suppression of blacks, as documented so scrupulously by Bill Federer of American Minute?

Or is it because Ms Gorelick wishes that Americans will strike from their memories the facts American Spectator's Dan Flynn documents about Democrats' oh-so-cozy and obsequious relationship to the Klan? This includes: 

• In the 1980s, Democrat Senator Joe Biden voted to elect Robert Byrd (D-WVA), a former Exalted Cyclops of the Klan, as the leader of their party in the Senate;
• In the 1970s, a Democrat Congress named the Old Senate Office Building in honor of Richard Russell, a staunch segregationist from Georgia;
• In the late 1930s, Democrat President Franklin Roosevelt nominated Hugo Black, also a former Klansman, to the U.S. Supreme Court, where he served for decades.
• In 1924, Democrats rejected a measure to formally condemn the Ku Klux Klan at their national convention.

THE SOCIAL JUSTICE FIASCO

Liberal Jews – by and large raised in America and spared the 5,000-year history of searing hatred, slavery, oppression, and mass murder – have been drawn to leftist politics because it deludes them into thinking that if they are good enough and generous enough and even agree with their enemies enough, all their virtuous acts will somehow, magically, exempt them from the oppression and hatred their ancestors experienced.

And that by subscribing to and acting on the concept of Tikkum Olam – repair of the world – they will fit in and be appreciated, admired, liked, and accepted.But as writer Jonathan Neumann explains in "Liberal Jews Are Destroying Their Own Religion," the phrase tikkun olam was lifted "out of context" from a Jewish prayer before WWII to mean social justice and popularized in the 1970s and 1980s by radicals like Michael Lerner, who founded the extreme left-wing magazine, Tikkun.

"Since then," Neumann continues, Jews "have been led to believe that the purpose of the Jews in the world is to campaign for higher taxes, sexual permissiveness, reduced military spending, illegal immigration, opposition to fracking, the banishment of religion from the public square and every other liberal cause under the sun – all in the name of God. But the truth is that tikkun olam and its leftist politics have no basis in Judaism.

"Tikkun olam is not Judaism at all but a distinct religion [which] teaches that the Jewish People is an outdated and chauvinistic relic, with no need for a nation-state of its own in its ancient homeland. Consequently, Jewish social justice activists help to defame Israel and weaken America's bond with the Jewish State."

The alternative, says Neumann, author of " To Heal the World? How the Jewish Left Corrupts Judaism and Endangers Israel, is "a new generation of traditionalist Jews, proud of their heritage and jealous to preserve it. These Jews know that their ancestors did not live to worship a political party nor die for faddish causes. It's time American Jewry repaired itself instead of the world."

To which I say, Here, Here!

But will the leftist Jews of the world wake up and smell the coffee? Realize that the people they're fighting for loathe them? Reclaim their own glorious heritage and start to fight on behalf of their DNA brethren?

Where there's life, there's hope!

Joan Swirsky has written a major essay – The Groveling Jewish Lefties

(full text below).   

I believe Swirsky should have chosen a far less provocative title.  That

title however, in my view does not diminish the power of her reasoned

analysis, arguments and conclusions, all of which are backed up by a

plethora of sourced material available for all to read.

Swirsky in her piece, shines a light on how and why the state of American

Non-Orthodox Democrat supporting liberal-left wing Jewry – AKA progressives,

is in her view, going in the wrong direction and away from ensuring a bright

future for Judaism and Jewry in America.  

That non-Orthodox Jewish sector whose views about Judaism, Jewishness and

Israel are being increasingly shaped by assimilative secularism, constitute

about 80% of American Jewry.  

What prompted Swirsky to write this wide ranging essay was a communique she

received "Why We Must Renew Our Commitment to the Civil Rights Movement",

from Melanie Roth Gorelick, the Senior Vice President of the Jewish Council

for Public Affairs

JCPA could have chosen any other time to virtue signal its compassion for

oppressed people, other than Jews.  Choosing to do so practically on the eve

of the start of our New Year High Holidays while ignoring the alarming

rising tide of antisemitism threatening all Jews and Israelis, is shameful.

Swirsky writes from a Jewish and political conservative perspective that is

neither an Orthodox nor a particularly religious perspective.  

It is however, a perspective that reflects her valuing, regard, respect and

support for Judaism, Jewish history, heritage, culture, life, the importance

of maintain strong Jewish identity, the Jewish bond with and support of

Israel and wanting all that to be a part of a thriving diaspora Jewish

future.  

For those who might doubt any of Swirsky’s views, statements, argumentation

and conclusions, she has provided a multitude of  URL links to other sage

articles, essays and studies, all of which back her up.  All are well worth

your time to investigate and inform yourselves even more.

No doubt progressive Jews’ first reaction in seeing Swirsky’s essay in

their email box, will be to summarily delete it.  

Time and again those on the conservative side of the political spectrum

including myself,  have found in encountering those on the left, including

Democrat supporting Jews, especially the Trump hating variety, that they

cannot tolerate any fact reasoned based opinions and conclusions that do not

conform to theirs.  

They often react to even a hint that someone is about to try to engage them

in a sincere informed discussion and debate, by dismissively and derisively

variously saying in effect ‘there is no point in discussing things because

you are  right wing,  a Trump lover, a Republican, a fake Fox News viewer or

some other like pejorative characterization.’  

To those progressive Jews who see Swirsky’s essay in their mailbox, I

appeal to you to not reflexively delete it.  Rather, please do read it with

a fair and open mind.

It is so important that both the right, left and in between fairly,

respectfully, factually and reasonably engage in discussion and debate on

those issues that divide us.

Religious and political divisions within our Jewish diaspora community in

the U.S. and Canada too for that matter, have become so deep and too often

acrimonious, the situation is screaming that it is incumbent on all of us to

begin to actively work together to lessen those divisions for the good of us

all.  

It is with that in mind that I implore all of you who I am sending this to,

be you on the right or the left,  to take the first step to that end by

choosing to now read Swirsky’s essay and the source materials she has

included to back up what she asserts as fact, truths, argues, reasons and

concludes.

While Ms. Gorelick briefly mentioned that there is an "increase in

anti-Semitism and hate crimes" in America, her entire discourse was devoted

to a plea for the Jewish community (2.8 percent of the U.S. population) to

turn their impassioned efforts and energies to supporting the cause of

blacks in the U.S. (14 percent of the U.S. population), who she claimed

still experience grave discrimination.

This in spite of the fact that since President Trump was elected, blacks

have never experienced a higher degree of employment, independence, wealth,

home ownership, and freedom from discrimination in the history of our

country!

Zelensky: Well yes, to tell you the truth, we are trying to work hard because we wanted to drain the swamp here in our country. We brought in many many new people. Trump: Well it’s very nice of you to say that. I will say that we do a lot for Ukraine. We spend a lot of effort and a lot of time. Much more than the European countries are doing and they should be helping you more than they are. Germany does almost nothing for you. All they do is talk and I think it’s something that you should really ask them about. When I was speaking to Angela Merkel she talks Ukraine, but she doesn’t do anything. A lot of the European countries are the same way so I think it’s something you want to look at but the United States has been very very good to Ukraine. I wouldn’t say that it’s reciprocal necessarily because things are happening that are not good but the United States has been very very good to Ukraine.

Zelensky: Yes you are absolutely right. Not only 100 percent, but actually 1,000 percent arid I can tell you the following; I did talk to Angela Merkel and I did meet with her. I also met and talked with Macron and I told them that they are not doing quite as much as they need to be doing on the issues with the sanctions. They are not enforcing the sanctions. They are not working as much as they should work for Ukraine. It turns out that even though logically, the European Union should be our biggest partner but technically the United States is a much bigger partner than the European Union and I’m very grateful to you for that because the United States is doing quite a lot for Ukraine. Much more than the European Union especially when we are talking about sanctions against the Russian Federation. I would also like to thank you for your great support in the area of defense. We are ready to continue to cooperate for the next steps specifically we are almost ready to buy more Javelins from the United States for defense purposes.

Trump: I would like you to do us a favor though because our country has been through a lot and Ukraine knows a lot about it. I would like you to find out what happened with this whole situation with Ukraine, they say Crowdstrike … I guess you have one of your wealthy people … The server, they say Ukraine has it. I would like to have the Attorney General call you or your people and I would like you to get to the bottom of it. Whatever you can do, it’s very important that you do it if that’s possible.

We are ready to open a new page on cooperation in relations between the United States and Ukraine. I’m sure you will figure it out. I heard the prosecutor was treated very badly and he was a very fair prosecutor so good luck with everything. Your economy is going to get better and better I predict. You have a lot of assets. It’s a great country. I have many Ukrainian friends, their incredible people.

Zelensky: I would like to tell you that I also have quite a few Ukrainian friends that live in the United States. Actually last time I traveled to the United States, I stayed in New York near Central Park and I stayed at the Trump Tower. I will talk to them and I hope to see them again in the future. I also wanted to thank you for your invitation to visit the United States, specifically Washington D.C. On the other hand, I also wanted to ensure you that we will be very serious about the case and will work on the investigation. As to the economy, there is much potential for our two countries and one of the issues that is very important for Ukraine is energy independence. I believe we can be very successful and cooperating on energy independence with United States. We are already working on cooperation. We are buying American oil but I am very hopeful for a future meeting. We will have more time and more opportunities to discuss these opportunities and get to know each other better. I would like to thank you very much for your support.

I am looking forward to our meeting and I would also like to invite you to visit Ukraine and come to the city of Kyiv which is a beautiful city. We have a beautiful country which would welcome you. On the other hand, I believe that on Sept. 1 we will be in Poland and we can meet in Poland hopefully. After that, it might be a very good idea for you to travel to Ukraine. We can either take my plane and go to Ukraine or we can take your plane, which is probably much better than mine.
